Record of May 2012 meeting
Record of meeting held 6th May 2012 at Rudham Village Hall
The meeting opened at 7:30 pm - Jane took the chair and the members were welcomed.
Apologies for absence were made by; Angela, Donna, Doreen and Jane

Matters Arising: None
Birthdays: None
Correspondence: Temple Tours, Tomorrow’s Heirlooms, Norwich Cathedral and Snettisham handicraft. The AGM and annual revue have now arrived having been omitted from last months mailing pack.
Next Meeting: will be all about recycling. (Maureen to give the vote of thanks)
Refreshments: Thank you Sheila and Liz. Next month will be Maureen and Iona
Doe’s Spot: The forthcoming meal at The Hour Glass and visits to West Acre were discussed
AOB: Scrabble final - Jane and Mary came a commendable second, congratulations. Invitations were put out for others to join the Scrabble circle.
Jumble Sale - Two calls have been received thanking the ladies for their help at the sale which has raised £675, up to going to press.
Resolution: After much discussion it was agreed that “the wording of the resolution was not focused well enough and the statement was too sweeping”. Therefore we all felt unable to vote either way. The final vote being:- For 0, Against 0, Abstentions 13.
The meeting continued with a kick at the Olympics - we had a knock out tape racing competition with Jane Watts winning. Several members also brought along plants for swapping.

The meeting opened at 7:30 pm - Jane Watts took the chair greeting our visitor Trish and welcoming the members.

Doe’s Spot (with Su)
Westacre Theatre. A form was put on the table for filling in for "Gaslight", "Teechers", Twelth Night" and "Great Expectations".
Meal out to the Hourglass, Sculthorpe - 11th May. 12-14 people wishing to go. Josie to co-ordinate.
The next Craft Gathering is on Friday 20th April at Angela’s.

Is it a good idea to have members phone numbers on the programmes? - After discussion it was decided that it was a good idea for members to have a list of phone numbers but on a separate flyer not on the programme.
WI Cake stall - 30th June. Yes, members willing help. Final details to be arranged.
Do we want to help with Pavilion fund raising? Yes. It was put forward that we might like to make a start by helping with the refreshments at the Jumble Sale. Help was offered by Maureen, Io, Ann, Sheila, Jane, Mary, Doe, Ruby.
Maureen reported on the Norfolk Federation AGM
The next meeting is our Resolution meeting, followed by a Plant and Seed Swap and "A Race Meeting".
